Soundtracks add atmosphere well beyond the screen. Often times, it is only later realised just how fantastic it is that which has been heard whilst engaged in a film.
Hans Zimmer clearly loves his cascading Interstellar contribution. And so he should be proud. It is an eclectic mix of modern and classical; each instrument superbly voiced, an orchestra and choir full of character, wonderful to watch.
For if we ever leave the galaxy, this has to be the audio for journey listening. That is before we enter hyper sleep. Cruising at near the speed of light.
