Swirl

From a first recognisable baby scrawl picture...

....to the complexity in photography necessary to capture something as hypnotically wonderfully simple as coloured ink injected into water.

"All art is quite useless", was rather matter of factually pointed out by Oscar Wilde.

True. But he conceded:

"...Its aim is simply to create a mood. It is not meant to instruct, or to influence action in any way. It is superbly sterile, and the note of its pleasure is sterility...A work of art is useless as a flower is useless. A flower blossoms for its own joy. We gain a moment of joy by looking at it."

That moment, a mirror on our reality, can usefully last a lifetime.

Thanks go to Jacob + Katie Schwarz, with praise on choice music from Tony Anderson.
