I have never watched Buster Keaton before. Appreciation now: the man was daredevil amazingly deadpan funny. There is a sense of a deep love of humour, literally bending over backwards and risking life and limb. All for the process of a visual gag. Dedication displayed all over the screen.

I see why Orson Welles was an admirer. I am going to make up for not having enjoying this honoured comedic genius before. His acting, actions and stunts deserve mighty praise and a whole new post CGI audience. Buster, brilliant. With thanks to Paul Hagl for the very best tribute video.
