TRUTH & JUSTICE, IN MEDICINE & LAW

Medicolegal Practice

No case is too challenging or complex. Whether it is a claim of medical negligence, personal or work injury, I am happy to provide a detailed independent opinion for the Court.

My approach is to be thorough
and logical.

Solicitors have often instructed me after an initial expert opinion carried little weight, and indeed rare diagnoses and outcomes had been overlooked. Receiving recommendations via barristers are most valued.

I have dealt with many cases of eye injury, neurological trauma, retinopathy of prematurity, pituitary tumour, glaucoma and uveitis over the years.

I am now willing to prepare reports for refractive surgery (LASIK, LASEK, RLE, CLE, PRK etc) on issues relating to standards of ophthalmic care and informed consent. As a surgeon who does not undertaken refractive procedures myself, I will not be able to comment with expertise on the laser procedure per se. I maintain non-bias in seeing an equal mixture of happy and unhappy patients which is vitally important.

To concentrate effort, instructions are currently being undertaken at a rate of no more than 1 per month.

Since 2007, I have completed in total 73 medico-legal reports (via Claimant 62 / Defendant 11).

I was called to Court as an Expert Witness in October 2024.
