SOLUTIONS VARY - YOUR NEEDS, YOUR CHOICE

Presbyopia care

Are you facing presbyopia, the inevitable age-related eye change that will make it hard to focus on close objects such as text in a book for individuals over 40 years of age? It occurs as the natural zoom lens inside the eye stiffens with the slow passage of time, and can no longer shift shape as needed to increase optical strength which is required when viewing a near item of visual regard.

Traditionally, most people with presbyopia resorted to reading glasses, whether they then resided on the tip of the nose, or were made up into bifocal or varifocal spectacles for those already wearing a distance prescription.

The options on offer have expanded over the last 2 decades. I here set out below a general guide to inform, pointing out relative advantages and disadvantages. My advice would be to trial these in order starting with the simplest first to see which suits your personal needs most appropriately.
