Krakow's charm, reserved
Updated: Oct 4
Krakow, unknown, who would have guessed?
A timeless, dragon-haunted city of spires,
of Gothic grace and cobbled desires,
where countless gorgeous churches rise in gold and stone,
their quiet beauty claimed by the faithful alone,
the hejnał truncates the hour’s soft call
and Wawel stands watch by the river’s wall—
stone guardian of kings in the medieval night,
layered and luminous, regal and light.
Candlelit courtyards and sacred quiet space,
a meditative beauty, a soft, ancient face
that still holds the echoes of royal refrain.
In Kazimierz streets the old stories remain—
Jewish heritage deep, with equal weight,
cultural richness, history’s long, steady gait.
