Pulsed caroket
Tesla’s new Roadster does not merely accelerate; it briefly escapes the earth. Cold-gas thrusters, fed by two high-pressure tanks of compressed air and guided by SpaceX precision, lift the car, roll it, and hold it aloft for a handful of heartbeats - four or five seconds at most - before gravity reclaims its due.
A powerful underbody suction system pins it upside-down when stationary, while the invite-only Rocket trim turns every launch into a short, spectacular defiance of physics.
Production waits until 2028, yet the promise is already airborne: not sustained flight, but a luminous, fleeting rebellion against the road.
Perhaps best to be ultised as an ultimate accident avoidance unit.
